While I was at the park with our SoulShiners on Thursday, I was approached by a little girl who introduced herself as Winter. "How can I be a part of SoulShine?" she asked me. "What do you mean?" I said. "Well I know I'm too old to go here because I'm in sixth grade, but it seems like a really fun place. Even if I couldn't go there, I would like to help out with the kids. I'm a really good babysitter."
It made me sad to think that Winter would never be able to attend SoulShine, but I was happy to know that our awesome reputation follows us wherever we go. A complete stranger, a mere observer, can tell what a great place SoulShine is just by seeing our dozens of smiling faces at the park. It was touching to hear someone willing to contribute and be a part of our SoulShine family.
